Learn all about the seven Ps of resilience by joining Bucks New University academic Louisa Berry, Course Leader for MSc Organisational Resilience at our next Breakfast Briefing at University Campus Aylesbury Vale.
This Breakfast Briefing is aimed at the novel start up to well-established companies and will particularly appeal to operational managers and executives. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn about how a holistic approach to organisational resilience is mission critical and there will also be the chance to network with like-minded business people.
Louisa will introduce key facets of Organisational Resilience including protection and performance. The world is changing fast and these tenets are vital to continued smooth running.
University Campus Aylesbury Vale is a partnership between Bucks New University and Buckinghamshire College Group, and the Breakfast Briefings offer topical subjects to help local businesses through talks by academics and lecturers from the University or College.
Louisa will be presenting the Briefing at UCAV from 8am-10am on Friday 23 February and includes a free breakfast of bacon rolls and pastries, and tea, coffee, and orange juice.
Bringing Positive Psychology into the workplace

Dr Ceri Sims, Psychology Lecturer, Bucks New University will be explaining how positive psychology is the science of what makes life worth living and is centered around theories and research involving understanding and developing wellbeing, optimal functioning and positive traits such as strength and resilience.
This briefing would be of interest to, managers, team leaders, human resource professionals, coaches and learning and development professionals and is also the perfect opportunity to find out more about the accredited short course ‘Positive Psychology in Coaching’ starting at UCAV in July 2018.

Ways to be a dementia-friendly business in your community
In the lead up to Dementia Awareness week (21- 27 May 2018), University Campus Aylesbury Vale are delighted to host guest speaker Benedicta Lasoye, Communities Officer, Aylesbury Town Council
Come along and hear why local companies decided to join the Aylesbury Town Dementia Alliance at our next Business Breakfast Briefing on Friday 18th May.
One year on from the launch of the Alliance, Dementia Champion, Benedicta, will look back at how she has contributed to raising the profile of dementia awareness in Aylesbury; creating a Dementia-Aware hub. Dementia Action Alliances are seen as a major step for the area being recognised as a Dementia Friendly Community by Alzheimer’s Society. Member organisations commit to a number of actions outlining the ways in which they aim to become dementia-friendly, such as increasing staff awareness, reviewing their staff policies or creating better signage.
Fiona Chalk, Senior Lecturer – Adult Nursing (Dementia and Frailty) at Bucks New University will be discussing the various options on how to make your business more dementia-friendly in order to gain:
