You will undertake client work in agency placements and are required to complete a minimum of 100 client hours. Saturday workshops and a residential weekend, on a range of counselling topics, supplement the learning throughout the 2 years. This course involves personal time and commitment from students to meet the many different demands which includes compilation of a portfolio, regular supervision of counselling work and 40 hours of personal therapy. This professional Diploma will teach you how to work as a Counselling Practitioner within agency settings. This course is integrative humanistic in its teaching, combining study in person-centred theory, cognitive behavioural therapy and transactional analysis.
